Detailed description:

This course enables participants to become certified risk management professionals (Foundations level). The training and exam are based on the ISO 31000:2018 risk management standard which can be used by organizations of any size, any industry, and any sector.

In this intensive three – and half-day course, participants develop competence in the foundations of the ISO 31000 :2018 risk management standard. Based on in-depth teaching , practical exercises and quiz questions that test their aptitude, participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to pass the stringent exam.

They do so by becoming familiar with the vocabulary, principles, framework and the risk management process proposed in the ISO 31000:2018 standard. During the course, we will present the ISO 31000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines and its two companions, the ISO 31073:2022 (previously known as ISO Guide 73:2009), and the IEC/ISO 31010:2019 Risk Assessment Techniques.

About the Trainer:

Alex Dali is well known today through his very active work in raising awareness of Risk Management Standards, particularly on ISO 31000. Holding a Msc in Chemical engineering, a degree Business Administration and a post-master in Risk Management, he has worked in the last 25 years on many aspects of risk management: industrial risk management, loss prevention, natural disaster risk management, business impact analysis, business interruption, business continuity management, standards and regulations. Today, Alex is a recognized as the founder of the G31000 Risk Institute and active owner/moderator of the LinkedIn group which has reached 94,000+ members.
As part of the international ISO Technical Committee TC262 representing France, he is one of the active authors of the original version of the ISO 31000:2009 standard.
He is an invited professor in several universities and institutes, trainer for workshops and writing articles on ISO 31000.

Exam and Certification

• The exam to become “Certified ISO 31000 Risk management professional” meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17024 standard designed to harmonize the certification process of personnel worldwide.
• The exam covers the five following competence domains:
• Fundamental concepts
• Terms and definitions
• Principles of risk management
• The risk management framework
• The risk management process
• Duration: 2 hours for 80 multiple-choice questions

A certificate of “Certified ISO 31000 Risk management professional” will be issued to participants who successfully pass the exam and comply with all the other requirements related to this credential.

General Terms and Conditions for Participants of G31000:

1. Registration fees. All participants must pay the registration fee prior to arrival at the course venue.
2. Cancellation Policy. Registration cancellations must be notified via email to G31000 at Email: cancellations@ G31000.org .Substitutions are welcome any time. Cancellations received 60 working days prior the first day of the course will receive a refund of registration fees less an administration charge of 10% of the Course fee. Cancellations received between 60 and 30 working days prior the first day of the course will receive a refund of 50% of the course fee. Cancellations made after, as well as ‘no shows’, are liable for the full course fee but will receive the course pack and online access to all the course materials. Participants must make sure they receive an acknowledgement of their cancellation from G31000. Only this will confirm that their request has been received and processed.
3. The G31000 Courses reserve the right to amend any part of the Course programme if necessary at any time. G31000 will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to their personal property as a result of the Course or related events. In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, G31000 accepts no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by participants. Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance, along with travel insurance.
4. Personal Insurance. G31000 cannot be responsible for healthcare, dental and ambulance services during its courses. G31000 strongly recommends that participants take out comprehensive medical and travel insurance, which should cover the possibility of flight cancellation due to strikes and other causes. Therefore, G31000 and its local coorganisers accept no responsibility of any nature whatsoever for personal injury, death, loss or damage to property or participants however caused or arising.
5. Privacy Legislation.In registering for G31000 Courses, relevant details will be incorporated into a participant list for the benefit of all participants. Normally this information would be: name, surname, institution, country and email address. These details may also be available to parties directly related to the Course including the venues and accommodation providers. G31000 may use these details to inform current participants of Course updates or future courses via email. Participants are responsible for advising G31000 if they do not wish to have their email addresses included in the course participant list or G31000 ’s distribution list for future events.
6. Governing laws. This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the law of Switzerland and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss law.
